Foundation Subjects

Here you will find our curriculum for history, geography, art, DT and Science. Our curriculum has been developed to ensure children learn both the disciplinary and substantive knowledge and they can apply this across the curriculum.  Vocabulary is very well specified throughout all subject areas to ensure it is explicitly taught. Our curriculum exceeds the expectations of the national curriculum in terms of its pitch, to ensure all pupils are flourishing in each subject area. 

 We have ensured that within our curriculum:

-knowledge is well sequenced

-knowledge is taught to be remembered

Across our entire St. Philip's curriculum we have ensured that all core knowledge is taught to all pupils, and in such a way, that all pupils remember it. Our curriculum is a curriculum for all, and embodies our aspirations.
