About Our School
Welcome to our website, where I hope you will find all the pertinent information that you require to get to know our school a little.
I am delighted to be the Headteacher of St Philip’s CE Primary School and be surrounded by inquisitive learners and committed adults who make up just part of our treasured school community.
At St Philip’s we have a shared vision that incorporates the development of the whole child, which includes a purposeful partnership between home and school for the best of each and every child. We aim to be a stand out school, where children aspire to the best that they can be. We feel strongly that respectful, tolerant relationships are vital to a safe and positive school culture. We also value highly the importance of showing kindness and compassion to one another.
We are a Church of England School and this is reflected in our welcoming and caring atmosphere. We use a set of Christian values upon which we underpin everything we do, how we behave towards one another, and how we can develop together as one community. In this way, we will raise standards and progress across the school.
We all take part in daily acts of Collective Worship, whether that is as a whole school, or in smaller groups of children. We pride ourselves on inclusivity and welcome families of all faiths as well as none, serving all of the children within our community.
We welcome visits from prospective parents and carers, and are happy to meet you and discuss any questions you may have. Please telephone the school (01223 508707) to arrange a visit.
